MUSIC

The Chromantics can and will play virtually anything for you! We love to take you and your guests on a dynamic journey featuring feel-good Motown classics, nostalgic childhood favorites, current chart-toppers, epic sing-a-longs, beautiful love songs, and of course Tubthumping by Chumbawamba.

If you book The Chromantics you can pick your favorites from our eclectic and ever-growing repertoire and also make new requests that we’re happy to learn just for you. Whether it’s a meaningful first dance, Aunt Susan's favorite song to scream-sing when she’s had a few, or that one Armenian folk song that will still get grandpa dancing- we’re down to make it happen for you.

We also love a DO NOT PLAY list so no worries if Tubthumping is not your thing :)

weddings

There's nothing quite like a big room full of people connected by love, celebrating love. On top of that, they’re all eating a bunch of delicious food and drinking for free. Live music is the super-important final ingredient needed to make your wedding everything you've ever wanted.

We are an independently operated, member-owned band that can bring you a polished and professional level of entertainment at a substantially lower price than many comparable groups. Our musicians, production team and equipment are truly top-notch but with us, you won’t be paying for or dealing with anyone but the people performing at and engineering your wedding. We love to tailor our performance to your specific vision and can work with any budget to get you the best possible live music for the big day.

ceremony

A solo pianist sprinkling your processional requests like flower pedals? A string quartet performing a custom arrangement of the bride's favorite Shania Twain song? Classical guitar? Barbershop quartet? Whatever your heart desires, we'll make it happen.

cocktails

The jazziest of pianists subtly sets the mood as your guests sip & schmooze... or a trio creates ambiance with romantic jazz standards and gets the energy buzzing... or a full sextet with vocals generates a speakeasy vibe and gets the party going right away.

Not into jazz? A mellow acoustic set of love songs can be perfect for cocktail hour. Love steel drums? Bluegrass? Accordion? We know people- let's do it.

reception

Aside from some breaks for eating, drinking and happy crying, we pride ourselves on keeping the dance floor packed throughout your entire reception. We’ll work closely with you, your coordinator/planner and other vendors to create a seamless and personalized experience, resulting in the perfect celebration for you and your guests. We provide MC services, wireless microphones for speeches and lighting options to take as much off your plate as we can.

Your reception music will come in finely tuned waves of dance party bangers, classic sing-a-longs, romantic slow dances, throwback favorites, new chart-toppers and whatever else you'd like. We always include at least 3 new requests the band will learn for you and happily take your input on what music from our existing repertoire will hit the hardest for you and your people.

RECEPTION BAND SIZES

We can customize our band size to accommodate most any preference or budgetary/spacial restrictions for your event. We LOVE to bring a big ensemble when possible but our smaller groups can definitely pack a punch and bring the party as well.

For weddings, we recommend at least a 7-piece band and most commonly play with 9-11 pieces; providing multiple lead vocalists for a varied sound throughout the night + horns and percussion for that extra class and energy that your wedding deserves.

~ M E N U ~
EXTRA SMALL: 4-piece with our core guitar, keys, bass and drums all singing
SMALL: 5-6 piece; add a lead vocalist + saxophone
MEDIUM: 7-9 piece; 2-3 lead singers + trumpet
LARGE: 10-12 piece; 3-4 singers, 2-3 horns + percussion
EXTRA LARGE: 13-16 piece; 4-5 lead singers, 3-4 horns, violin, 2 guitars, 2 keys

AFTERPARTY

Mix things up at the end of the night with a high-energy hybrid DJ set with live drums + percussion and/or saxophone! We’ll take your requests and create a custom set of remixed bangers to keep the party going. The live instruments infuse a palpable energy that will give you and your guests that second (or third) wind to end the night with a super fun exclamation point.

There’s no burnout at a Chromantics wedding! We excel at keeping the dance floor alive- we’ve literally had the wedding staff doing handstands after a long day of work :)

reviews

If you are looking for a wedding band that will not only elevate your reception but leave your guests talking for years to come, look no further than The Chromantics. Words truly cannot express how spectacular the entire experience was. From our first planning conversation to the final, high-energy note of our reception, they proved themselves to be the ultimate partners in creating the best night of our lives.

While they know how to throw an unforgettable party, the care and precision they brought to our ceremony was equally unmatched. Standing at the cusp of our “I-Dos,” we were incredibly nervous and emotional. Jack and his team of sound technicians did not skip a single beat. They provided a heartfelt accompaniment of playback songs and executed a beautifully curated moving of microphones that perfectly accented our words. Beyond the flawless technical execution, their general positivity and calming presence kept our focus exactly where it belonged—on each other.

As an LGBTQ+ couple, finding vendors who genuinely see and support you is incredibly important. The Chromantics were outstanding allies throughout the entire process. They were meticulous about ensuring all of our verbiage was correct, respectful, and affirming. They went above and beyond to make sure our celebration was a space that truly centered our love, making us feel completely safe, celebrated, and seen from start to finish.

The sheer talent of this band is out of this world. They have an uncanny ability to read the room and curated a seamless, vibrant setlist that kept our dance floor packed. They effortlessly engaged guests of all ages, bringing a unique, electric energy to our venue.

A massive highlight was the pop/punk and emo section of the night—our guests absolutely lost their minds re-living their emo phases! From throwing down to Disney’s “I2I” (the absolute perfect choice) to keeping the energy at an unwavering 10/10 all night, they delivered a performance that brought down the house.

A standalone shoutout has to go to Erin, the lead singer and the phenomenal Emcee of our night. Erin is an absolute force of nature with jaw-dropping vocals and a warmth that commands the room. She kept the timeline flowing naturally, but her ability to genuinely connect with the crowd was magical. When our OG college crowd realized the connection, Erin brought them right to the front of the line, sparking an impromptu group choreography moment that we will never forget! She is a master on the mic and got the whole room invested in the celebration.

The Chromantics didn’t just play music; they delivered theatrical, show-stopping moments. They helped execute a surprise Christmas moment that was absolutely EPIC—completely zany, perfectly “us,” and executed with total perfection.

And we have to talk about “Proud Mary.” The buildup, the energy, the table-ography—it was pure stardom. Standing on the dance floor circled by our loved ones, spinning like kids without a single care in the world, is a core memory we will cherish forever. They brought out the pure silliness and joy in every single guest.

Behind the scenes, the level of organizational excellence and generosity we received was unparalleled. We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to the band directors, Jack and Karole. They are an absolute dream team. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Jack and Karole made us feel completely at ease with every single ask. They handled the entire process with professionalism, flexibility, and grace. Because of their reassurance and meticulous preparation, we were able to fully step back, relax, and just enjoy our day, knowing we were in the absolute best hands.

The Chromantics are world-class vendors, extraordinary performers, and genuinely wonderful people who interact with you and your guests with absolute sincerity. If they are available for your date, book them immediately—it will be the best decision you make for your wedding!
— Chris & Joe
We can’t say enough good things about The Chromantics. They were the absolute heart and soul of our wedding! From start to finish, the energy, talent, and professionalism they brought to the night was unmatched. The three female vocalists sounded incredible together, the pacing of the setlist kept everyone on the dance floor, and the musicianship across the board was just top-tier.

Guests are still raving! We’ve heard everything from “that was the best night ever” to “I want to join that band!” Jack and the entire group made the night feel personal, joyful, and unforgettable. We feel so lucky to have had them as part of our day, they truly made it magic.

Highly, highly recommend The Chromantics if you want a wedding band that will blow you and your guests away!
— Tara & Mike
We cannot say enough great things about this band! They absolutely made our wedding. The energy, the talent, the vocals — everything was incredible.

The dance floor was packed all night long, and our guests are still raving about how amazing they sounded.

They brought so much life and excitement to the reception and truly went above and beyond.
— Michelle & George
We got married in September 2023 and had the Chromantics handle all of our music needs during the reception. From the initial planning process through the end of the night, the band was able to handle everything seamlessly and made sure everything related to the music went off without a hitch. The band was able to easily coordinate and communicate with all of our vendors to ensure all technical and planning matters were going to be handled properly. Getting into the actual performance…they are truly amazing! We had the full 11-piece band and they are able to play any type of genre of music you want. The singers are unbelievable and the wide array of instruments really bring the whole performance together.

The Chromantics reached out to us ahead of time with a playlist of hundreds of songs they have perfected that we could choose from for our wedding playlist and on top of that were able to learn and master any additional songs we wanted to request. I am not even kidding when I say the dance floor was packed the entire night. Young or old, our wedding guests were dancing and having a great time the entire night. The “Proud Mary” encore brought the house (tent) down! Our guests have been constantly telling us how amazing the band was at our wedding. Thank you to the Chromantics for helping make our wedding party so special.
— Liam & Addie
Our wedding day wasn’t easy as the entire event took place outdoors on a very hot and humid day that also included a solid half hour of rain just before the ceremony...but none of that really mattered because we hired The Chromantics. From the moment they arrived, everyone in The Chromantics was there to make our day perfect. From Danny getting the sound just right in a pretty rustic setting, to adding several songs we requested to their seemingly endless repertoire, to making sure we could still have live piano for the outdoor ceremony even with the threat of another shower; this band is in a league of their own.

As for the actual performance? I’m not hyperbolizing when I say every guest at our wedding made it a point to tell us this band is the best they’d ever seen. It’d be easy to leave it at that, but each of them deserves praise for playing a part in the best decision we made for our wedding. It starts with Jack, who helped coordinate the day and curated an impressive playlist with something for everyone. He then sits behind the drums and never lets the music or the party die. Brooke brought life to every song with perfection on percussion. There’s Ali - a killer on the keys who flawlessly pulled double duty for the reception and a ceremony full of special requests. Name your favorite guitarists and then add Eric to that list because he does everything that they can. If the bass is the backbone to a band, Ulises gives The Chromantics perfect posture. Every song is made better with horns and even better if Greg and SJ are the ones playing them. I wouldn’t say The Chromantics have a good singer... I’d say they have FOUR INCREDIBLE VOCALISTS! Karole stepped into a few of our requests like they were her own songs. Kyle is a chameleon - hitting every note in any genre. Maggie was a magician, going from Beyonce to Rod Stewart to Tina Turner...and nailed each one! And then there’s Erin... she’s not just an immensely talented singer, she’s a one of a kind performer who knows how to turn a wedding into the best party you’ve been to all year.

All of them come together to put on a performance that will leave you wishing that you could start over as soon as it ends. I hope I’m lucky enough to attend another wedding or any event that these guys are playing. Do yourself a favor and stop stressing over the wedding band - The Chromantics are THE wedding band.
— Jenna & Zack
We are so happy that we choose the Chromantics to play at our wedding! Their performance was flawless, and several of our guests told us that we had the best music at any wedding they had ever been to, which even includes the old-timers who are usually so hard to please!

Jack and the rest of the band made the whole process easy. Planning our song list with Jack was like talking to an old friend, he definitely made it fun.  Not only were they flexible, but they were willing to learn several songs for the occasion.  We choose an eclectic variety of music from David Bowie to Yellowcard, no matter the genre, they rocked it!  Unlike many wedding and cover bands whose performances seem like imitations of the original songs, Jack and the Chromantics made the music their own while still saying true to what we loved about our song choices.

The Chromantics are super talented, and definitely have the ability to bring the room to life.  We were beyond thrilled with everything the band did for us, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Chromantics for a wedding or any other occasion!
— Kate and Anthony
Hiring the Chromantics to play our wedding was the best decision we made. As a musician myself, I have pretty high standards when it comes to wedding bands (especially for my own wedding). Most wedding bands generally know what they’re doing, but the problem is that so many of them are similar to each other in the way they operate and perform. This is where the Chromantics stand out to me: Not only is each performer a certified professional and master of of their craft, but they just have a certain character to them that makes for a truly unique live musical experience. They adapt to their situation and any changes that may occur seamlessly. The lead singers don’t just blow you away with amazing vocals and the musicians don’t just simply melt your face with flaming guitar solos, wild drum fills, or sizzling horn lines. They interact with the crowd in ways that are unrestrained and hilarious, yet tasteful and inspiring. I cannot praise this band enough for their overall performance, professionalism, and humanity.

We then have the DJ set, which was led by Jack on the drum set. I first witnessed Jack execute this type of performance at an afterparty for a friend’s wedding a couple of years prior to my own and it absolutely blew my mind. Adding a live drum set over a DJ mix adds so much character to the music with different syncopated rhythms, halftime breakdowns, and more. As a musician, I was constantly “stank facing” anytime he threw in a rhythm that was different from what was expected.

On top of all of this, I wanted to surprise my Swiftie wife with a Taylor Swift Medley that I had arranged as sort of her very own dedicated Eras tour performance. I arranged a 10-minute long medley, which would be led by me on the trumpet while being backed by the band. I sent them the parts I had arranged, was able to meet up with them for one rehearsal, and we nailed it right away. Not only did they learn and perform a custom Taylor Swift medley for me, but they also learned a few extra songs that were special requests.

This band is so easy to work with and put on a top tier performance. We are so lucky to have booked them!
— Andrew & Christie
The Chromantics single-handedly made our celebration come to life. They were without a doubt the most talked about part of our wedding and we still have people raving months later. Additionally, the booking and logistical process prior to the wedding was a breeze. We went into our weekend feeling confident and excited, but truthfully our expectations were blown out of the water by their performance. We can’t recommend them enough to anyone planning a celebration of any kind.
— Reilly & Ben
If you’re reading this review & looking for a wedding band - stop what you are doing - and book them immediately. I mean it!

I am PICKY when it comes to music. I came with a lot of requests and a lot of wants and needs and do’s and dont’s and please learn this’ and please play this last seconds’ and ALL of them were met.

I was lucky enough to have gone to high school with Jack and another member of the band so I knew how musically inclined they are and how seriously they take it. Because of this I didn’t go out of my way to hear them live first - aside from a few videos on here I didn’t really hear them play as a band but I trusted them to entertain my 350 guest wedding.

I think all 350 people asked me for their contact info. Seriously. From coordinating our cocktail music (steel drum and blues guitar in separate rooms) to cutting/queuing my processional song, to the reception it was a flawless execution. I’m so thankful and so beyond happy to recommend these talented musicians.
— Kayla and Matty
I cannot say enough good things about this band. They MADE our wedding night. Not only do they seem to be effortlessly tight musically, they also have great charisma with each other and the crowd. When they spoke out it was at the right time, funny, witty and heartfelt. Of all the great things at our wedding- the band got the most rave reviews and everyone partied hard until after the end of the wedding - they were literally cleaning the venue and people were still asking for more from the band- and they kept going!

Jack, who runs the group is smart, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. He is knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. We had some ideas of what we wanted to hear and he told us what would be great for the wedding and what he thought wasn’t so fitting- but was happy to include whatever we wanted. He even had the group learn numerous songs that were far off the traditional wedding rep to suit our taste- including some really technically difficult and funky stuff- Vulfpeck, D’Angelo to name a few, and made it all work within our budget.

They also provided a DJ to play some tunes during our dinner and dessert who was great, but it was so worth it to have the band play 3 full sets during the wedding. Aunts and uncles, kids, my grandma- everybody got down like I had never seen before. We got so many thanks for the good time, and we were so happy we were able to provide that for everyone who came out to support us that day. Having this band was an expense that was well worth it!
— Alex and Stephen
My wife threw me a surprise 60th birthday party this past December with all my family and friends. She hired The Chromantics to perform at the celebration. Everyone there enjoyed the entertainment so much that the dance floor was overcrowded. The band performed music to satisfy every age group from young to old and kept everyone dancing.

It was obvious that all members of The Chromantics were seasoned musicians with incredible talent. The vocals were beautiful. Many of our guests were asking who they were and where we got them. As much as I never expected a surprise party, I certainly did not expect the level of entertainment we received. They played a wonderful variety of music. I would recommend this band for any occasion if you’re looking for professional quality entertainment. This was a party I’ll never forget.
